Data We Collect
When you create an account or use JamzPro™, we collect information necessary to operate the marketplace and facilitate bookings between performers and event buyers.
Account information: your name, email address, password (hashed), and account type (performer, buyer, venue, or agency).
Profile data: for performers, this includes your stage name, performer category, genres, bio, city, travel radius, pricing, social media links, media portfolio links, profile photos, and performance history.
Booking data: event details, dates, location, agreed terms, communication history between parties, and booking status.
Payment data: payment transactions are processed by Stripe. JamzPro™ does not store full credit card or bank account numbers. We receive and store Stripe customer IDs, transaction IDs, payout records, and earnings summaries.
Usage data: log data including IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and actions taken on the platform. This data is used to improve the platform and for security monitoring.

How We Use Your Data
JamzPro™ uses your data for the following purposes:
• To facilitate bookings — connecting event buyers with performers, processing booking requests, and managing the booking lifecycle.
• To process payments — passing necessary billing and identity information to Stripe to execute transactions and payouts.
• To send notifications — confirming bookings, sending application status updates, notifying you of new messages, and communicating important platform updates.
• To verify identities — reviewing performer applications, verifying profile information, and maintaining trust and safety on the platform.
• To improve the platform — analyzing usage patterns, diagnosing technical issues, and developing new features that serve our marketplace community.
• To prevent fraud and abuse — detecting suspicious activity, enforcing our Terms of Service, and protecting the integrity of the marketplace.
We do not use your data for automated decision-making that produces legal or significant effects on you without human review.

Data Sharing
JamzPro™ shares data in the following limited circumstances:
With the other party in a booking: when a booking is initiated, we share relevant contact and profile information between the event buyer and the performer to facilitate the transaction. Both parties consent to this sharing by using the platform.
With Stripe: we share the data necessary for Stripe to process payments and payouts on behalf of both parties. Stripe's processing is governed by Stripe's own Privacy Policy.
With service providers: we may share data with trusted third-party service providers (hosting, analytics, email delivery) under confidentiality agreements. These providers are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
Legal requirements: we may disclose data when required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or when necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of JamzPro™, its users, or the public.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
Section 5
Data Retention
JamzPro™ retains your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
Active accounts: your data is retained for the duration of your account's existence on the platform.
Booking records: completed booking data is retained for a minimum of 7 years for financial record-keeping and dispute resolution purposes.
Deleted accounts: when you request account deletion, we will remove your personal profile data within 30 days. Certain data related to completed transactions may be retained for legal and financial compliance purposes as required by law.

Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data on JamzPro™:
Access: you may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Correction: you may update or correct inaccurate personal information through your account settings or by contacting support.
Deletion: you may request deletion of your account and associated personal data. Submit your request to support@jamzpro.com. Deletion requests are processed within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements.
Portability: you may request an export of your data in a machine-readable format.
Withdrawal of consent: where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

Data Security
JamzPro™ implements industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), secure password hashing, access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel, and routine security reviews.
Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe, a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor. JamzPro™ does not store raw payment card information.
While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no internet-based service can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
